Along with his brother, his literary repertoire includes a boyhood memoir, Growing Up in the City of the Saints and Stories of Forgotten Sports Idols and Other Ordinary Mortals. Most recently, Shepherd is the author of Lost Conversations with Abraham Lincoln.
