As it is described as being agile software, the author spends a bit of time explaining what exactly that is. The reader is then given even more detail about the software as a few components of scrum are focused upon like user stories and sprints. There is even a section that answers the most commonly asked questions on the subject. Scrum is not hard to understand as long as the right information is available to the individual that wants to learn and the book is a perfect introductory guide to the subject.

Ted Owens is an economist but had an interest in learning about software development programs. Scrum was something that he had been interested in since it was launched in 1986. From what he learned, he thought that others would also be interested in learning about the benefits of scrum. Ted started to compile a book on scrum with that in mind. He shows how scrum allows a group of persons to work on a project as a unit. He has used it himself with other team members and has found it to be quite effective.
