Produktbeschreibung
William faces challenges beyond what is considered normal by the time he is six years old. He faces abject poverty, colorism from unexpected places, but most of all, an uncertainty about where his life is going.

When a teacher chooses William to represent Talladega County Training School, at the New Farmers of America's Speaking Contest, the entire trajectory of his life changes. He accepts and travels to Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama where the contest is held. Once on campus, he sees a statue of Booker T. Washington that makes him immediately weep and make a promise to himself that he will return as a student to receive a college education.

However, life takes an interesting turn and at the end of the school year, he quits school, joins the Air Force, and soon finds himself right in the middle of the Vietnam War.

William eventually becomes a husband and father, who works for the Environmental Protection Agency where he retires, while also retiring from the military. Always believing in service and giving others, he found time to become a coach, a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and a deacon, where he is a member of the Oak Shade Baptist Church, in Catlett, Va.

One question, however, still remains. Did William keep his promise to get back to what is now Tuskegee University and receive the degree he desired to pursue?

Get ready to go on "An Uncertain Journey" that will make you laugh, cry, and cheer as you take this life tour with William Louis Gross, Jr.!!!!!!!
