This isolation leads to the dryness and stagnation of civilization, as is observed in the civilizations of the mountainous regions. In Egypt, Mesopotamia, and many parts of the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, evidence of the existence of a connection between them and each other has been found since ancient times.
