Early and Personal Life

Born in San Angelo, Texas, in the United States, J.C. Hulsey would grow up with a keen passion for the written word. Writing songs in his early twenties, he was always looking for ways to express himself creatively, before recording some songs of his own in the late 1960s. This would pave the way to him writing extensively, focusing on poetry for a period, all of which would lead to the style which he currently employs today. Living in Midlothian, Texas, for over forty years and counting, he has also been married to his wife for over sixty-five years as well. Taking his cue from a number of Westerns, he has found a niche all of his very own, as he puts out work at a regular and consistent pace.

Writing Career

Knowing he always wanted to write ever since he could remember, J.C. Hulsey would put pen to paper from an early age. Working his way towards writing poetry in the 1970s, he would later go on to publish work through Amazon, self-publishing through the platform in 2013. Serving in the US Air Force for a period of time would also provide him with a certain amount of experience for writing as well. This would last for five years, whilst his time in the National Air Guard would last for four, leading to him becoming the writer he currently it today.
