Autorenporträt
Lorna Crozier has received Canada's most prestigious literary award, the Governor General's Award for poetry. She has been the recipient of many others, including three Pat Lowther Awards for the best book of poetry by a Canadian woman, most recently in 2016 for a collection called The Wrong Cat. She has also been awarded five honourary doctorates from universities across Canada, including McGill University in Montreal, for her contribution to Canadian literature. A Professor Emeritus at the University of Victoria, a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and an Officer of the Order of Canada (the country's highest civilian honour), she has published 17 books of poetry. Her poems have been translated into several languages, including a book-length translation in French and another in Spanish, and she has read in every continent, except Antarctica.
