After retiring from the United States Air Force in 1992 and from the Boy Scouts of America in 2009, Walt Deecki Sr., began writing stories inspired by his own childhood and that of his four children and grandchildren and the endless number of youth that came into his life while working as an Assistant Director of a Before and After School Program, and as a teacher's assistant. All the characters in his books encompass their personalities. He believes that Children are God's most precious gift.

After a 20+ year Air Force Career, 10-year career as a District Director for the Boy Scouts of America and short opportunities with other youth organizations, Walt Deecki Sr., began writing faith-based stories in hopes of inspire others to never give up, always have faith and never stop dreaming. His goal is to encourage his readers to look for the "light at the end of the tunnel" and to know that God is always present.
