MARIAN PRENTICE HUNTINGTON has been an award- winning investigative reporter for the Point Reyes Light newspaper and a professor of journalism at Sonoma State University. She is a student of several world religions, including Buddhism, and is a member of the Marin Interfaith Council. She dedicates herself to serving immigrant and impoverished families in her community, and works to improve the health of homeless and vulnerable children through a charity she founded, NovatoSpirit. She is also the author of Movement and Mentorship, Helping Kids Heal Through Sports, and has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the World of Childrens Humanitarian Award and the Marin County Womens Hall of Fame.
