Tesis de Maestría del año 2022 en eltema Medicina - Odontología, Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, Idioma: Español, Resumen: Bone regeneration is a technique used to preserve bone support or to regenerate it, using bone grafts and mechanical barriers called membranes. These protect the blood clot, maintaining a space that serves to exclude non-osteogenic cells from the defect, allowing bone-forming cells to access the isolated space intended only for regeneration. The objective of this research was to analyze the use of non-resorbable and resorbable membranes in ROG. A bibliographical review of the literature, a search carried out with keywords and specific filters has been carried out. 23 articles were selected, where different uses with different membranes were compared, such as: cross-linked or non-cross-linked collagen membranes, the efficacy between PTFE-e or PTFE-d membranes and the use of resorbable membranes with compared to the non-resorbable ones. The membrane that we are going to use to regenerate bone will depend on each particular case, that is: the type of bone defect, the location, the patient and the requirements that we need to generate a space.
