Seminar paper del año 2024 en eltema Romanística - Estudios españoles, Nota: 1,0, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Seminar für Romanische Philologie), Materia: La generación de los hijos, Idioma: Español, Resumen: This paper examines two works by Chilean author Nona Fernández – the fictional novel Space Invaders (2015) and the autobiographical account Hijos (2013). Both texts reflect on the memory of Estrella González and intertwine personal experiences with historical events from the Pinochet dictatorship. The objective is to conduct a narratological comparison of the two works, focusing on narrative structure (discourse and story) and thematic elements such as dreams and the video game Space Invaders. The analysis applies narratological frameworks proposed by Martínez and Scheffel (2016) and Gröne et al. (2023) to explore similarities and differences. The study emphasizes selected aspects that could be further developed in future research.
