Autorenporträt
Jane Ann Soxman, BS, RN, DDS, graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 1980. Specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry was completed at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow in both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American College of Dentists. She holds an appointment as voluntary Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry in the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Department of Pediatric Dentistry and is a seminar instructor for general practice residencies at Allegheny General Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Health Care System. Dr. Soxman is Pediatrics Advisor on the advisory board, a column contributor, and manuscript reviewer for General Dentistry. She has authored numerous articles in the dental literature and is editor of the Handbook of Clinical Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry. She has maintaineda private practice in Pediatric Dentistry in Allison Park, Pennsylvania since 1983. As a national speaker for over 25 years, she is recognized as a leader in continuing education.



Patrice Barsamian Wunsch, BS, DDS, MS, is a Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she served as Director of Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry from 2011 to 2015. Her hospital appointments include VCU Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Dr. Wunsch is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She received her dental degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1986. She obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2002 and a Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry from the same university in 2003. Her areas of expertise and interest are early childhood caries, pulp therapy, access to care, and teaching methods to enhance the education of adult learners. Dr. Wunsch has served as an editorial board member for the journal Pediatric Dentistry, the official publication of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Christel M Haberland, DDS, MS was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala where she attended dental school at Universidad Francisco Marroquin. She completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology with an MS degree at Ohio State University in 1998, and continued on to obtain her United States dental degree. She taught Oral Pathology as an Assistant Professor at Temple University from 2000-2002. Later, she completed a residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Yale-New Haven Hospital from 2007- 2009, and subsequently became an assistant clinical instructor. She is Board Certified in both Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Pediatric Dentistry. In 2012, Dr. Haberland started an Oral and MaxillofacialPathology Biopsy Service in the Department of Pathology, Yale School of Medicine, where she held appointments both in the Department of Pathology and Department of Dentistry at Yale-New Haven Hospital. In 2015, she was appointed the Program Director for the Pediatric Dentistry Residency. She moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 2018, to start a Pediatric Dental Program and residency at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Her interests are in pediatric oral pathology and she has lectured nationally on this topic.
