Jesus said in Matthew 16:24"'Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." Since the cross was a place of death, taking up your cross implied the death, not of the person, but of the person's desires, wants, and preferences. But the tension between our desires, wants and preferences often challenges our daily walk with Christ. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." In other words, the Bible has an answer for every challenge. This book explores what the Bible provides as "teaching, rebuking, correcting and training" to address many of the more common challenges faced by Christians. The concluding chapters focus on the understanding that God will give us the strength and the wisdom to know that "he works all things for our good" including life's challenges. The goal of this book is to encourage the reader on their walk with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
