Produktbeschreibung
The gap between the required and the available cancer care in the world widened in the last decade for the majority of cancer patients in the world. These include patients in many Low and Middle Income Countries, and increasing fractions of underserved patients in rich countries get increasing difficulties in affordability of high value cancer care. Despite international efforts, there in no indication that the shortage wouldn't be worse in the upcoming years, with the increase of cancer prevalence, the skyrocketing increase of costs of cancer treatment and the negative economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and post pandemic.

The Editors and experts who contributed to this book present how there is a need for global approaches and campaign for the scientific exploration of avenues to increase affordability of better value cancer treatment for millions of cancer patients in the world. They do so while considering the interests and incentives of all stakeholders in the real world, including first cancer patients everywhere, governments, professional cancer care providers, health industries, health business and economy. All would win. The scope is global. This book is just one of many efforts to spread the idea of the win-win movement.

We are catalysts, and the credit is for the doers everywhere. From that comes the term "Global Health Catalysts Win-Win Movement" that is opened for all who share our objectives, and it belongs to stakeholders and all readers. We adopt a new term: "A living book", indicating that after publication, there are opportunities for the feedback, suggestions and innovation of readers.

The book is honoured with special contribution of the late Dr. Tabaré Vázquez, immediate past president of the republic of Uruguay, A keynote by HRH Princess Dina Mired and a foreword by Sir Muir Gray.
