The scrutinizing investigator cannot deny that the twentieth century was an exceptional period in the Middle East, given the major political transformations that the region experienced during it, starting with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire after World War I, which controlled most of the Arab countries, to the Sykes-Picot Agreement in 1916, through the Declaration. From the withdrawal of British forces from the countries that were under their control until the end of the British mandate over Palestine, which began on September 29, 1923, where all of the above played a pivotal role in re-crystallizing the map of events in the region.
