James McKenzie is from Montrose, Michigan, and currently resides in Haslett, Michigan. He is retired from General Motors engineering. He is the author of the nine books of The Saga of the Princesses of the Light. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and is a die-hard Spartan, and he has been a season ticket holder for the women's basketball team for many years. He has three children, whom he loves dearly, that he will never see again. He has coached football, baseball, basketball, and soccer in Haslett in the youth leagues. He is very proud of the young men and women that he has coached. He is also an inventor and is not a bad musician.
