In "A Stubborn Fool's Mind", a bartender named James McCain works his usual nightly shift, but when a noise test his patience, James is forced to handle his prejudice in his workplace.

"Home Is Somewhere" is a third person story follows two lovers, Edwin and Jake, as one new year's night leaves Edwin questioning if being on the run with Jake was worth everything he had before then.

In "Selfless Hope", Marx is the only healer for wolf tribe. After a year of healing and helping them, he struggles with the fact that he may not be all that welcomed.

"Monster with a Heart" is about Raul, a gun for hire who does dangerous jobs to not only to get by, but to find a safe place for a woman and her child.
