Ariel and the Avocados is a family-oriented story about a young girl named Ariel. She is learning about the alphabet letter A and avocados are her favorite food that begins with A. Accompany Ariel on a day in her life where you will uncover why she loves them so much and what they mean to her. This is the "A" book in A to Z Kids, a bilingual children's book series written in both English and Spanish. An excellent book choice for preschool-age kids to 2nd graders. This book can be read in either language and uses simple speech making it easy to read and understand. A to Z Kids books are valuable tools created to help and encourage parents and educators to introduce second language learning and reading to their children and students.

Author Raquel used a color-coded system with simple and familiar words matching certain English words to their Spanish counterparts to assist readers in connecting both languages for a smoother learning experience. Learning a second language is much easier to achieve during early childhood years as a child's cognitive development stage is in its prime.

Autorenporträt
Raquel is a new children's book author and proud mom of Kalob and Haley. Born and raised in Florida, she has resided in the Dallas/Ft. Worth TX area for over a decade. When she is not working or writing, she enjoys weekly dinner dates with her adult kids, going to the movies, or a quick getaway when possible.

An avid reader from a young age, she wrote her first "book" when she was in elementary school. She thought she might become a writer one day, but life's ever-changing paths led her to become a mom first. She has worked in the bank and finance industry for over 20 years. Not losing focus on her childhood dream, she began writing and decided to start with children's books. Proud of her Hispanic ethnicity, she decided to make her kids' books bilingual in English and Spanish. Taking it one step further, she created a 26-book series titled: A to Z Kids, one bilingual book for each letter of the alphabet.

She aims to enrich the lives of children and hopes to bring a smile to a child's face through her dual-language storytelling. Decades after she authored her first story as a child, Raquel's dream is now a reality and is overjoyed to present you with her first published children's book.
