The society in which we live often misleads us and distances us from human values. Rather, it sometimes subjugates us to its goals that may contradict the progress or happiness we seek. To us, it is like a city that surrounds us with its dwellings, its artificial lights, its noise, and its false concerns. We live in it and almost forget that at a distance of three miles from us, the countryside rises in its fresh nature, with its trees, water, and animals. We may become accustomed to the customs of this society, but we do not find the energy to change them, nor do we dare to go out to this nearby countryside. This is also the case with those social values ¿¿and their impact on our souls when we live in the captivity of these false values ¿¿for the rest of our lives.
