Before you embark on the journey of reading my work, I wish to provide some argument and explanation to prevent any confusion or misunderstanding of these poems I would for your satisfaction. These poems are merely as miniatures one would see on coins or within the necklace: an art giving pleasure without having so gargantuous a canvas. I've written other poem portraits before of greater length, but the sonnet format continues to captivate my fancy as one of the greatest forms Calliope hast gifted us versers. However, I believe the sonnet has much more to offer readers other than depicting the poet's discontent of the world, and it's through this collection I've experimented mine mightier sword. The collections come from inspirations I found amusing in books, film, song, painting, or other accounts of humanities. I care not to relate a story connecting the sonnets to an underlying meaning, as in previous self-published collections I did so and failed miserably in its terrible complexity, nor care if the verse uses language of ancient times or coins words that seem not to fit with modern creativity. For mine only intention is to write with truth and honesty, as well as with experiments of poetic forms and unmodern syntax, while being clear as the verse permits... These works are as Montaigne essays, collections ranging of different topic as I feel them, though I myself am not the sole matter of this book, and I've no time for petty matters. If you like these works, I'm grateful to you; if not, I've no reason to force your eyes to my measures and I only hope I win your affection back next time."
