Jay M. Hurd is a graphic artist living in Northeastern Illinois. He served in the United States Navy from 1991 to 1994 aboard the USS Nimitz and participated in Operation Southern Watch. He is currently a member of AMVETS and STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. He currently attends University of Phoenix in pursuit of an IT degree.

When he's not writing, he enjoys his kids, his wife, video games and various scifi shows like Doctor Who & Star Trek... and he knits. No, that wasn't a misprint. He actually likes to knit.
