The spoilt vampire girl Ashrej lives contently with her adoptive grandfather in a hut amidst the post apocalyptic wastes of earth. Her easy life came to a sudden end when vampire hunters decided to ambush them on an outing. Through a risky maneuver she manages to escape their clutches, however, Gramps has no such luck and is captured. Determined to free her only family she strikes a reluctant alliance with Akand, an outcast vampire hunter who is no happier to work with Ashrej and has his own reasons for leading her to the hunters' HQ. An AI run slave colony and lost desert city turn out to be only minor things discovered along the way compared to the answers unearthed in a place that shouldn't exist. Answers that threaten to not only to change the world as they know it but also themselves.
