The second issue of the Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Review contains four research papers. The articles include research topics on Japan's response to globalization: Learning from Japanese direct investment experiences; The Bangkok Agreement: a negative list approach to trade liberalization in Asia and the Pacific; Foreign direct investment in services and its implications for developing countries; and issues of interest in the WTO's Doha Development Agenda for economies in transition. In addition, two policy briefs are included in this issue: The Chinese Yuan Revaluation and its effects and implications for exchange rate policy and Liberalization of market access in GATS Mode 4 and its importance for developing countries.
