Autorenporträt
Christina Miesen grew up in Melbourne Australia, the 4th of 5 children, with parents who migrated from Cologne in Germany. As a child, she had dreams of becoming a nurse (which never happened), spent 8 years playing the violin (and never knew how to tune it), and became fluent in Ginglish (German and English mixed together). She finally studied Graphic design and went on to become an illustrator.

Christina has illustrated numerous titles for the educational market and several picture books, including Magic Mummy (by Caroline Stills), and Ruby Roo Jumps too High (by Lucy Nichols). She has also illustrated the Mini Marvels series (Mary Novick), as well as Jamil's Shadow (Christine Harris) and Farm Kid (Sherryl Clark).

Christina has recently become the author of two Aussie Bites book, Leeza Van Breeza's Nail Biting Idea, Leeza Van Breeza's Best Idea Ever and The Fete Escape and also wrote and illustrated a perfect board book for the pre-school child, JoJo Goes to Playgroup.

Christina still lives in Melbourne with her husband and 4 young children. When she's not cheering like crazy at the basketball, or driving to and from the pool, or making school lunches, or dinner, or breakfast, or pretending to do housework, she's busy writing and drawing!
