Authorship and authority are not only etymologically related, their interaction play a major role in the debate with religious and canonical texts. Yet, there is a variety of possibilities of how authority emerges and appears or can be described, established or deconstructed. In this volume, the interaction between the author, his text and his or its authority, respectively will be highlighted from different perspectives. Additionally, the volume includes additional contributions of recent studies of fellows of the Faculty of Protestant Theology of the University of Vienna.
