Singapore is now an intensely urbanised city-state. Nevertheless, several Nature Reserves have been established. Three of them are particularly rewarding: Chek Jawa is an IBA (Important Bird Area by BirdLife International), located on the Island Pulau Ubin. Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is an ASEAN Heritage Park in the North of Singapore. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is located on the highest hill in the center of Singapore and has the only rain forest of the country. In addition, the are many urban parks like the Botanical Garden teeming with bird species. This multilingual (en, fr, es, de, ja, cn) bird guide introduces the entire bird life of Singapore in colour.
