South Korea is a very modern state in the southern part of the Korean peninsula. It has 22 national parks, most of them mountainous. The island Jejudo, also known as a popular honeymoon destination, contains a volcanic World Heritage Site and hosts an endemic subspecies of the Eurasian Nuthatch. Further, a subspecies of the White-bellied Woodpecker is endemic to the Korean peninsula. As Korea is located on the very important migration route along the Pacific Ocean, the avidiversity of this area is outstanding. This multilingual (en, de, es, fr, ja, cn) bird guide introduces the entire bird life of South Korea in colour. In addition, links to HD videos of more than 45 bird species are included.
