Author Gary Herron is a baseball hobbyist and collector who also has served as a Pacific Coast League scorer for more than 1,300 ball games for the Dukes and Isotopes from 1983 to 2010. Herron scoured his own photograph collection and that of the Center for Southwest Research and other sources to provide images to give the reader a glimpse into baseball in Albuquerque during the past 100-plus years.
