Autorenporträt
Dr. Denise Calafato Russo is a college nutrition professor at a Hispanic-serving institution. She has spent the past two decades transforming her classrooms using equitable teaching practices to support a diverse population of students. She takes this same passion for equity to the flag football field, where she supports the opportunity for girls to play football. In her downtime, Denise enjoys doing sports-related activities with her husband and three grown children, all of whom have been involved in a wide variety of sports, including flag football.
