Despite the difficulty of asking about what happiness is, and the infiniteness of the journey to search for it, the Canadian-American psychologist Lawrence Gould answers the difficult question with one sentence, and draws a map that he believes is guaranteed to reach the lost treasure or paradise. Although the author spent most of his life studying and practicing psychoanalysis, in his book he does not lean toward the complex scientific method that makes the book a specialized scientific research. Rather, he addresses the reader in an easy-to-understand manner, taking him through the different stages of life, focusing on the advantages of each one. The most important sources of happiness in it are with attention to how to pass the dangers of each stage safely and soundly. He uses his long experience in the field of psychoanalysis as material for his book, and his experience guided him to morals, their importance, and the necessity of adopting them.
