Aufgewachsen im bayerischen Wunsiedel im Fichtelgebirge zog es Ralf Oesterreicher nach dem Abitur nach Erlangen. Dort studierte er Medienwissenschaften und Geschichte. Er arbeitete nach dem Studium für verschiedene Tages- und Fachzeitschriften als Redakteur. Nach Stationen in Nürnberg und München kehrte Ralf Oesterreicher 2010 wieder in seine Heimat zurück, wo er als PR-Manager, Projektmanager und Redakteur für unterschiedliche Institutionen arbeitet. Er veröffentlichte zahlreiche Fachartikel und Reportagen.
