Frederick Mosteller (19162006) ranks among the 20th century's most eminent statisticians. The founding Chairman of Harvard's Statistics Department, he wrote more than 50 books and 350 papers.

Stephen E. Fienberg is a Harvard PhD and has served on the faculty of Carnegie Mellon University since 1980.
