It describes about the tracts of fertility, irrigation facilities, principal crops grown, extension in cultivation. It highlights a number of Famines and Floods that had hit the region. It further tells about embankments, such as railway emb a nk me nt s an d privat e embankments, and their effects.It states that the chief manufactures of the region were railway workshops, slate quarries, mica mines, indigo manufacture, tobacco manufacture and iron work.
