Autorenporträt

After 22 years' service as a Marine officer, Dirk left the Corps for a second career in the business world as a district manager and corporate trainer. In the backwash of the 2008 financial crisis, Dirk left the corporate world and turned to writing full time.

Dirk's first novel, West of Tomorrow, is a tale of betrayal, misplaced love, and the phoenix living in all of us. His second book, Best Case Scenario. It is the first in a series following Nyra Westensee's journey into professional life, womanhood, and an evolving human full of life, purpose, and promise. Dirk is currently working on book 2 of the series. Tier Zero the first volume in his new science fiction series of first contact between Earth and the Knolan Concordant, due out in late 2019.

Dirk lives in Laguna Niguel, California with his wife, two psychotic cats, and a nine-year-old Ball Python named Corona. A compulsive gym rat, surfer/shaper, snow skier, photographer, and woodworker, Dirk is also a member of the Southern California Writers' Association and facilitates the bi-weekly meetings of the Advanced Fiction Groupa tight-knit critique group of published and aspiring authors.
