Autorenporträt
She was born on a country farm in Ste. Agathe, Me. In a loving home with her parents, grandparents and older brother, her parents had six more children. She went to local schools where her teachers were mostly sisters. She enjoyed school where she excelled with high grades and academic achievements. She enjoyed helping her brothers and sisters with their homework. In 8th grade she had the lead in the presentation of Evangeline (which she is descended from). She won the County Spelling Bee, was on the debate team through high school and the library committee. She was selected as best story writer in her senior year English class. She wrote a jingle for a contest by Chiquita banana and was awarded a prize. She lived on a farm most of her life where work never stops 7 days a week from dawn to dusk and then some. After she met her husband and was married he was her best friend for over 58 years (he passed away from cancer). They lived on a farm for their first 21 years and were blessed with a daughter and a son. She now has four grandchildren who she adores. When her children were teenagers she got a job at a car rental company and worked her way up to manager overseeing multiple locations and dedicated employees until she retired. Through the years she always told stories to her brothers and sisters, her children and grandchildren. After she retired she decided she had to write a story to entertain her family. She hopes her family has as much joy reading it as she had writing it. She is now living with her daughter and enjoys gardening, cooking, walking her dog, doing household chores and keeping in touch with her family.
