Everyday so many people come our way. During work, while shopping, buying vegetables, at the bus stop or taking a walk. We dont talk to them, but somewhere something strikes a chord. You notice their dress or the way they walk or the Mp3 chord stuck to their ears, that lovely complexion or bald head. It can be anything. You remember people, characters, their characteristics from the village you belong, the school you studied, the college you graduated, from among your friends, place of work...from your neighbourhood. Autorenporträt
Sikha Bhattacharya, A Bengali, who lived most of her life outside Bengal in different states of India because of her father's transferable government job. School education was partly in Bombay and Chennai, graduation and post graduation in Chennai. Deeply influenced by both Bengali and South Indian culture, the writings have both the flavours. A teacher for a long period of time helped to get a lot of insight into human characters, both young or old. This is her first attempt at penning down and publishing a bouquet of short stories.
