Biblical Rhymes & Reasons is a book find for our times, full of energy and passion, to inspire both men and women. From beginning to end and morning to night, rhythmic and proverbial words take you through a disciple's journey of real encounters with the Savior God, with both seriousness and humor.
Seven chapters full of deeply thoughtful and challenging expressions of mind, heart, and soul with battles between flesh and Spirit, keep both inquirers and disciples engaged through personal, relational, and cultural topics.
Author Stephen Maloney is both vulnerable and prophetic as a man and servant of God.
"Appearing as a dove above stream, inspired words rise from in between, the wings and the water. These are the words I knew and dreamed."
Autorenporträt
Stephen Maloney is a pastor and married priest in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church and primarily serves at the Cathedral Church of the Intercessor in Malverne, N.Y. on Long Island. He has been blessed to serve, develop, and lead in various areas of Christian ministry such as: intercessory prayer and resources, home bible studies, pro-life action, public evangelism, group retreats, church events, creating and teaching discipleship courses, marriage preparation and seminars, pastoral care and spiritual guidance. Stephen is married to Maria Maloney, who he met at a Christian Singles' Christmas party in 1994, after life changing personal encounters with the Lord Jesus Christ. They are grateful for five blessed children. A graduate of St. Michael's ICCEC seminary with a Licentiate of Theology, he was ordained to the diaconate in 2000 and the priesthood in 2003. He has been serving Christ and His Church as both a lay person and ordained minister, now for over 25 years, both bi-vocationally and full time. Stephen's participation in various roles as a minister of the Gospel reflects his passion for the hurting least, lost, and lonely that God calls to Himself through the good works of the Church. Besides his love for his wife and family, Stephen is most moved by seeing other people encounter the grace, love, and power of God, especially for the first time, and desires to see the Kingdom of God advance with power for that very purpose.
