Autorenporträt
Martin Coles has spent a lifetime working with and for children. His career includes being a primary school teacher in Zambia, an academic at the University of Nottingham, a local authority officer and the principal of a large international school in The Netherlands. He has published widely on children's reading and co-edited the highly successful Literacy Land reading scheme. He holds degrees from Oxford, London and Nottingham universities. He has two daughters and four grandsons. One of his favourite pastimes is snow-shoeing in the mountains in winter, in the snow and ice.
