PETER LASCH, PhD, is a Research Scientist with the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin, Germany, and a specialist in FTIR spectroscopy and its applications to the biomedical field. JANINA KNEIPP, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department of Humboldt University, Berlin. Drs.
