Produktbeschreibung
Authors Timothy Jenkins and Khafra K Om-Ra-Zeti are suggesting that many of our problems and our solutions can be found in the current Information Age Technological Revolution. As Black Futurists, they are seeking to raise our consciousness to the accelerating historic transformations that are taking place during the 1990s, in an effort to spotlight the significance of technological change as a fundamental cause for many expressions of our social pathology. In chapter and verse, the authors explain how we are confronted with the forces of technological change on an astounding level and pace, such that all previous expectations of an inclusive society may be at an end. As barrier breaking visionaries, the authors are issuing a call for a "scientific and technological revolution" in the Black world. They label that call , a simultaneous revolution of the spirit and creative mind-set of African Americans to find and redefine themselves in the midst of the broad-sweeping changes reshaping our world for the 21st Century. From their point of view, the digital revolution will not only displace millions of workers, but will ultimately render many of our organizational systems obsolete in the next century. What is radiantly clear in the thoughts of these two authors, is the message of hope and the ability of African Americans to master the science and technology of this current digital revolution. As we stand at the crossroads of time, our choice must be for greater progress and development on a level we have not previously contemplated. As such, this volume represents a first. Their message is a wake-up call and something each of us should ponder very carefully as we approach the new millennium.

Autorenporträt
Khafra K Om-Ra-Seti is the author of World Economic Collapse: The Last Decade and The Global Depression (1994), co-author of Black Futurists in the Information Age: Vision of a 21st Century Technological Renaissance (1997), Bubble Markets and Boom & Bust Cycles: Paradigm Revolutions in the Information Age (2002), Capoeira: A Tale of Martial Arts Mastery, Mysticism and Love (2002), Global Economic Meltdown - Long Wave Economic Cycles: Myth or Reality (2012), and Global Economic Boom & Bust Cycles: The Great Depression and Recovery of the 21st Century (2012). In this current book, Khafra explores many of his ideas, philosophies and deep interests in the martial arts and African mysticisms. In his first novel, Khafra combines facts with fiction in a unique story of a Hero's Journey to achieve mastership in the martial arts. The story spans the course of African history as a timeless metaphor of spiritual evolution, expanded consciousness and regeneration. It is a story that explores the universal struggle of good versus evil, mysticism and universal power, love and glory, and the ultimate test to achieve mastership in one's lifetime.

Khafra has worked as a professional stockbroker and institutional trader for the Charles Schwab Corporation during the 1990s; for six years he was a lead instructor for the BA Completion Program at New College of California; and is currently an active investor in real estate and the stock market. As a writer and publisher, Khafra is actively engaged in the development of online publications which will ultimately include multimedia productions. His keen interest in computer technology and related futuristic issues evolves from his work with mainframe computers in the latter 1970s and early 1980s. He was educated at San Francisco State University with BA and MBA degrees in finance.
