Autorenporträt
Sachin Warty is a retired colonel of the Indian Army and the former commandant of a 230-year-old storied cavalry regiment. He is a keen artist and an avid golfer. His debut novel, Black Sol, is the first of a series of thrillers to follow. He is a graduate of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, at Wellington, in India, and has three master's degrees to his credit; two in management and one in defence and strategic studies. He was the editor of the professional magazine The Cavalier, and has authored the Armoured Corps Centre and School's coffee table book The Making of a Cavalier. Born into an army family and a third-generation army officer, he has travelled the length and breadth of India first as an army brat and then as an officer, giving him a unique perspective of this amazing nation's vast physical and cultural diversity. Though he loves to write in the thriller genre, he reads extensively on military history, management, international relations, national security, current affairs, spirituality and philosophy. Sachin lives with his wife and sons in Gurugram, India.
