Henri-Émile Chevalier (1828-1879) was a French writer and journalist whose work continued the adventure literature traditions established by Fenimore Cooper, Mayne Reid and Gustave Aimard. His works bring to life the world of pioneers, hunters, Indian wars and the harsh struggle for survival.
