Hi, my name is Cara Leandra Geary. I was adopted at the age of four from Bulgaria. To me, it's funny being a writer and an artist. I've never really been good at drawing at all. Writing, I guess, was okay because I have an imagination. Just ask my mom and my husband. They will tell ya. I married in May 27, 2013, so it's been two years. Since then, it's been one heck of a ride. May 10, 2014, at 9:30 p.m. I was in a car wreck. I got injured pretty good and had to resign from my job as a dietary aid on July 30, 2015. I remember one night feeling pretty worthless and my husband was at work, which was awesome. I need quiet. I prayed to God. I remember asking him what I was supposed to do now that I can't do a lot of things and how I could get his word out there without having to leave my house. I remember saying, "Lord, it's in your hands. You have my life, and you're in control. I'm just your puppet. I will do whatever it is you tell me to do. You lead, I will follow. So let's do it." The next thing I knew, a couple of days later, I was drawing stuff on own, and it didn't look like a blob, which is always good, and I was writing just idea after idea till it was done. I looked back and reread what we did, and I'm like awesome. I like it, this is what he's calling me to do, and I could get used to being his "puppet" this way because here's a secret: I used to hate writing and drawing, but now I like it.
