Flicky Gildenhuys has a degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town, plus further studies in clinical social work and counselling. A well-known educator in the field of parenting, her enduring passion for helping families spans three decades and has resulted in innovative parenting programmes and many successful family interventions. This book is an expression of years of working with families, combined with her personal experiences as a mother and step-mother. When Flicky is not at work she is likely to be found walking her dogs on the beach or hiking in the mountains with her husband.
