Rob O'Connor is a freelance journalist, specialising in politics and football in Eastern Europe. His work has been carried by The Independent, the Telegraph, New Internationalist, Al-Jazeera and VICE. When in the UK, he has worked as a journalist and reporter for Sky Sports, covering the English Premier League, and for CNN's football platform the Bleacher Report, writing longform investigative stories.
