Mark Masztal is an award-winning illustrator and designer. He is known in the comic book field as the artist and co-creator of the Shar-Pei series, recently collected as the Chronicles of Shar-Pei, and as the creator of the space opera, NOMAD. He was lead book designer on John Rovnak's massive volume, Panel To Panel: Exploring Words & Pictures Volume 1. He was also the designer and artist for G. Michael Dobbs' 15 Minutes With, letterer on Stephen Murphy & Michael Zulli's, Eisner Award nominated The Collected Puma Blues and designer on Stephen Murphy's Eisner Award nominated Umbra collection. Along with Mike Dobbs, Mark is the co-founder of Bing Comic Con, a 1-day pop culture event in Springfield, MA.¿Mark was born and raised in Massachusetts, where he lives with his understanding wife Kathy and his dog, Cady.
