Constantino must end the horror, but what will be the cost?

Cebu, The Philippines, 1565. The Spanish invade and set in motion events which will soon see a young priest burned alive. Juan Constantino, descendant of the last King of Cebu - Rajah Tupas, must face the evil passed down through generations.

Constantino was a weak man. Flawed but not evil. The burden thrust upon him by the actions of his ancestors is hard to bear. How can he protect the Constantino name? How Can he save his family? How many must die before he summons the courage to do what must be done?

Unless he acts, the slaying, the mutilation, the fear, the suffering will pass down through endless generations.

Based on a widely believed legend of a monster living in the basement of a mall in the Philippines, this tale is not for the faint-hearted. Readers of Historical Myths, Horror, and Thrillers will enjoy the pace and intensity of this novella.

Autorenporträt
Arthur Crandon is a lawyer, the boring office kind, not the exciting (and much better paid) courtroom type. He worked as a solicitor for a while before embarking on an interesting life overseas. He has spent most of his time in recent years in South East Asia, more recently in Hong Kong. Before that, Arthur lived and worked in the Philippine Islands (particularly Luzon and Mindanao) for a number of years. During these years, the experiences of political life and the realities of doing business and living in the Philippines became all too apparent. These experiences are vividly portrayed during the course of 'Deadly Election' and provide the reader with an accurate insight of what to expect if ever they choose to visit the archipelago. He loves to fish, and play the piano - but spends most of his time writing, eating, drinking and sleeping - usually, but not always, in that order. His first book, Deadly Election, draws on his strange imagination and his experiences, together with those of others, in a land that, beneath a veneer of civilization, operates like the Wild West and is very dangerous to innocent and gullible foreigners.
