She teaches 6th grade students at a small public charter school near Hilo Hawaii, spends weekends surfing in the lush country setting of Pohoiki bay near her home in Pahoa, travels once a year to Hillsong Conference in Australia, once a year to Cali to visit her grandchildren and children, thinks too much, rests too little, laughs a lot and always takes a chance when it comes along.
