Autorenporträt
Aasiya Rizvi is an author, clinical Ayurveda practitioner, and lecturer with over 20 years of experience in natural medicine. Raised as the daughter of an ambassador, her exposure to diverse cultures has deeply influenced her holistic approach to health. With a family background in medicine, Aasiya was drawn to Ayurveda and, after earning her MBA in 2000, pursued her passion for holistic health. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Ayurveda in 2009 from the European Institute of Scientific Research in Ayurveda (EISRA), the first Ayurveda-recognized college in the Netherlands, and further developed her expertise through a clinical internship at the Prakash Deep Institute in Rishikesh, India.

Aasiya, also known as Mrs. Aasiya Rizvi Baarslag, currently resides in the Netherlands with her husband.

Aasiya's writing career began 13 years ago with her debut book Shruti Ayurveda for Well-being (2011), which introduced readers to Ayurveda's practical applications for daily health. Since then, her works have evolved to explore a variety of themes, blending holistic health with storytelling.
