This book will show you plenty of ways to improve sales without spending a dime.

Since I wrote this book at the end of 2013, I've learned a lot about book marketing. Book Marketing is Dead is mostly a response to spammy, annoying book marketing techniques that don't work anyway, but the majority of authors continue to use. Instead I offered something better: connect with real people, build relationships and provide value.
A lot of the examples used in this book are old and I don't necessarily stand by them anymore. They seemed like a good idea at the time. I've found better and easy ways to market my books. But the theory behind this book is golden, and it's important, and too few other book-publishing gurus talk about it. There's actually a lot of "book promotion services" that offer exactly the kind of spammy marketing tactics I think are annoying (not to mention a waste of time). So I hope you'll reflect over the message of this book, but take the specific ideas with a grain of salt.
