Autorenporträt
Mícheál de Barra was born in Co. Clare, Ireland. He worked as a primary and secondary school teacher in Ireland and Argentina. Since retiring from teaching, he can be found wandering among the rocks of the Burren in Co. Clare, on a boat in the company of swans on Lough Derravaragh, or searching through books in the National Library. An Bothar go Santiago is both a pilgrim's diary and a travel guidebook in which he traces his personal journey on the famous "Way of St. James". This book won the prestigious Glen Dimplex Award - Irish language category - in 2007.
